International Nurses Day is celebrated around the world every May 12,
the anniversary of Florence Nightingale's birth.
- World Health Organisation (WHO) designated 2020 as the
International Year of the Nurse and the Midwife.
AIM :
the aim of the celebration is to raise awareness of the important role nurses

public in providing the best health care services.

Since 1965, the International Council of Nurses (ICN) has celebrated
this day. In January 1974, 12 May was finally officially declared as 'International Nurses Day' because on this date Florence Nightingale was born, who is
the founder of modern nursing.
